I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in adult psychotherapy. I have a virtual private practice serving people who live in the State of Maine.
I've been around awhile! I completed my PhD in Psychology at the University of Cincinnati and I have over 30 years training and experience as a therapist. I am currently serving as a psychologist in independent practice, working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are treatment of professional burnout, anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, and resolving career/family issues.
In addition to being a therapist, I have many years of experience working for a Fortune 500 company at the officer level. My intimate knowledge of corporate life and its demands coupled with psychological expertise provide the experiential basis for my practice with executives. In concert with my corporate role, I have personally coached over sixty physicians and bring unique understanding, insight, and discretion to my patients who work in healthcare.
I am an interactive, growth-oriented therapist. I use mindfulness and cognitive behavior therapy to help my patients effectively solve problems and address personal life challenges. I also try to understand how learnings from the past may be contributing to behavioral patterns that are no longer serving you. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a personalized approach tailored to each individual. With compassion, wisdom, and gentle humor, I work with each of my clients to build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
